The American Angler is my favorite hands down, particularly with the thin blades which they call shark blades. I've had mine more than 15 years, and it is super. I've loaned it to a saltwater guide one time to finish fileting redfish when his Mister Twister stripped its gears. (I saw another Mister Twister strip its gears on a guy who was fileting grouper. That guy told me he had to buy several a year.)
You can buy the thin blades from Grizzly Jig, and in fact I think Grizzly Jig has the new American Angler MT3 in stock. The MT3 is the only filet knife with metal gears. I can't wait to buy one, but I don't know when my old one will give up the ghost.
One last thing. American Angler knives are not only American made, they are made in Arkansas at Walnut Ridge.

Even better reason to buy another one. Thanks for the info.
