Default Cajun Cooker Pros and Cons

I used my cooker last night, that sucker will put out some vittles quick!
I tried to overload it by adding too much food at once and cooling the oil, which could be done but was tough. Fifteen minutes after lighting the flame that sucker was cooking fish. 30 minutes later I had over cooked for 20 folks, had enough to feed at least 40! And no burnt cornmeal.
I cooked fish, fries, hush pups, onion rings, chicken nuggets all in the same oil, everything was good.

    Pros-
    Cooks Fast
    No Burnt Cornmeal
It just looks so dang cool sittin there!

    Cons-
Loud- I like to bull**** and cook, hard to do cause it's so loud.
Clean up- 35 lb jug will not fit under spout with funnel, had to lift off stand and sit cooker up high to drain oil, took 2 people.

Glad you were satisfied with the cooker jpj I really like mine and have found that after the oil gets hot I can turn gas rate down really low to help with the noise factor play with it and you will figure out how little it takes to keep the oil hot 350.

Hey Joe, which one did you get? Was the oil clean and clear after you cooked for that many people? I guess since you were draining it you poured it back up in the original container? Is there a way to get the cornmeal out without draining the oil out? Glad you got one. Can I have hour old one? :D:D

Oil was not clear, smelled like used oil but far from burnt.

I put it back in the original container.
    I bought 2 35lb peanut oil.

I used a funnel and disposable filters from Gander Mtn.

You must drain to get the meal out.
Just drain the oil, lay it on it's side, and hose out with a water hose. I would recommend returning the oil to the jugs to keep the critters out.

Heck no! That's my camping gear now. It'll still cook some mean vittles!
