I keep my trotline bait in a minnow bucket tied to a log, it was full of bait AND THEY STOLE IT!!!
I checked a couple of boats but didn't find it.
!!WARNING!! if I catch you running my lines or messin with my bait, I will wrap a gaff hook round your head, cut your fuel line and take your boat plug!
Can't have nuttin these days!

I know what you mean JigginPoleJoe. About three weeks ago someone stole all four of my 11ft Wally Marshall jig poles out of my boat while I was in Brookshires buying some oil to fry some bream in. It was broad daylight at 2:00 PM. The only good thing was, they left my tackle box. Cost me around $300.00 to replace all of them.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
nothing worse than a theif!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can top all that - some low life stole my 2 year old's motorized JD tractor and charger. Right off our front porch while it was charging. He rode it every evening for at least 2 hours.
I can't comment on this without breaking the language rules. But my best efforts is something like sorry bass turds.
I feel your pain JJoe...........My 13 year old son and i fished Nimrod about 5 weeks ago. I had to leave on Sat for awhile and he stayed with In Laws. He was tooling around on his 2 man boat and set his $ 120.00 (Christmas present and replaced the rod the day before) rod and reel on his Grandpa/s boat (pulled up to the bank). Three men in maybe late 20's launched a Bass Tracker and stole his Rod n Reel. Two boys fishing from the bank saw them take it and the men even ask the boys if it was theirs. When the men returned to the landing my son, his uncle, and My Mother In-law questioned the men at the ramp. My son identified his R&R based on is markings. One man said that it was his pole and would not return it nor admit that he stole it. With the situation being 3 men and me not being present these guys drove away and I have no names or license's or really a very good description of the truck. All I know for sure is the boat was a Bass Tracker.
I wish I would have been there for this little incident. My son would have his pole and my boat paddle may have a few more nicks and scrapes on the end of it. As my log in says, we are new to Crappie fishing and fishing in general. Its not an easy task getting and NOW KEEPING the equipment needed.
If you are the person or persons that had this encounter with my In-laws at the boat ramp at Sunlight Bay on Sat April 19th, I would like to discuss this with you. Thieven Bastards!
Doh...uh nevermind![]()
Maybe a coon walked out on that log and found his dinner already ready to go.
My buddy had his fish cage robbed of Catfish last year on Nimrod. If they would have been caught it would have been bad! For them anyway.
