Default When It Floods They Are Going to get in There and Feed

Guy's There is one thing that is a good thing about all this. With flooded water fish move into the shallow's and feed. They will move shallow to take advantage of all the new forage, cover, and fertile water and act like kid's in an amusement park. So If you get the chance get on the banks and cast your lures up in the flooded waters of your favorite lake while there is still time and ill bet you catch a few. It's not only Bass but just about every spieces on the lake can be found in these type of waters. Here is a Pic of my brother with One of several nice bass we caught on Lake Conway yesterday evening in just a few hours of fishing. Dont think lure selection was that important, but a frog, spinnerbait, Buzz bait and just about any dark colored TX rigged lure you want to throw will get ya bit.

We did'nt weight er but I would bet she was close to 5 lbs. The really nice thing is she is still swimming alive in Lake Conway for someone else to catch and maybe the next person will get the thrill of seeing their brother, catch a 5 lber and release it agian and agian so it will get to a weight 6 -7-8-9-10 maybe. A good camera shot will last a life time for you and your buddy and you dont haft to kill the fish. I have an unwritten rule if it's over three it's free if you bass fish in my boat. I just can't kill them past 3 lbs. I do keep some 1-3 lber's for dinner tho. I really believe if you want to improve your bass fishery Let the big ones go to breed and grow bigger.
