Thumbs up 5/04/11 Lake Erling high water fish

Water is high about 1 ft above spillway very muddy in certain spots temp was 46deg. this morning when buddy and I left the camp water surface temp 72deg. wind was light checked out tops in 10 to 14ft water they all had fish but they were all dinks about 9 oclock tied on cork went to the cypress trees that have been out of water until recently fished in 3ft water with cork about 14 in deep found a few fish white/silver/chart meatgetter jigs lost a lot but managed to get back to camp with 24 fish a good day considering I thought I was wasting my time with all the high water.

Impressive. My crappie holes are currently all over the countryside on farms and in folk's houses. Way to go - great to see a pic of a nice mess! Hope y'all catch even more in the next several days!

No eggs in any of the females most of the fish were males.

That is just what I am looking for noslab. Great catch! And, by the way, I got a pretty good feeling that Buddy would want you to share those meatgetter jigs that ms meatgetter is sending you with me. LOL.
