    Default bear creek lake or horseshoe lake


    coming down in a week from indiana.wordering if anyone has any information on how to catch some big crappie on horseshoe or bear creek.most of the time we come down it takes us a couple days to figure out how to catch them ex) depth,what kind of jigs to use,,or minnows.please help me.thanks .

    some decent reports been comin out of horseshoe. My buddy went to bear creek last week and 0'd. Said it was about 8' clear

    Right now, the best reports I am hearing are from the shoe but if it is going to be a bad wind day, I go to bear creek instead. You can always catch some fish down there, bream, crappie or green carp.

    lot of spider riggin at the shoe on Saturday. Saw some very large fish being caught.

    Bream haven't turned on at Bear Creek yet. Bass didn't do well this weekend (Sat.--Sun. was too windy to fish even there) but should do better as the water warms. Don't know about the crappie, but I've never done nearly as good there as at Horseshoe. Talked to someone who went to the 'Shoe Sat. and they didn't do good at all.
