Before anyone gets bent out of shape over a tournament no being close to you you need to think about something, Are you going to fish only the tourney close to you or do you plan to fish them all. Fair is, the closer a tourney is to you the farther you will have to drive to get to the next one. By I would just as soon drive 3 hrs to every tournament as I had 10 mins to one and 6 hrs to the next. The people who live in the central part of the state has a driving advantage no matter where you hold the tournament, they are always gonna be half way there. With that said I suggest people start throwing out some lake names and the region of the state it is in and lets discuss them. But if you pull for a tournament in the southeast corner you can bet I am going to pull for one in the north west, it's only fair. I say keep them central-ish and lets focus on some lakes with good fishing as well as some sponsors that will be glad we are there.

i dont mind driving either i fish in ms to ,more than i do in ar. but if it is going to be a state organization all areas need to benefit much as possible. this is why a committee needs to be formed to set all the rules and lakes and cover the whole state the best you can and then see what kind of response and commitment you recieve. i think you are doing a good job but you need some more input, their is no reason to rush.if we take our time and get organized before we just jump in this could be a good thing. as for as lakes in so. ar , lake chicot is in so.east , lake erling in so.west ar. on la. border , horseshoe is up towards memphis. the river around pendelton is good their is a lot of back water . their is also several smaller lakes is good and large enough for a tour. peckerwood is good about any time .

Maybe the Arkansas river at pine bluff or pendleton would be a good spot as well

Blue mountain
Hinkle
Ouachita
Beaver
are all options for future tournaments

Being the Central and North regions seem to be ok for everyone, I will leave them as is.
Meatgetter and some of the others - Help me establish the southern region and we can fish wherever you guys seem to think is best. I am not familiar AT ALL with the southern lakes in this state but I am looking forward to fishing them.
We can even discuss this more next week at the tourny at Conway if you are coming?

If you worry about to many details this type of thing will never get off the ground. It sounds like a good start. Changes can always be made later. Strike while the iron is hot. My boss believes in the 80/20 rule. Get it 80% figured out, get started, and fininsh the rest later.

still undecided...would like to hear from others...especially the main threaders on this forum...anyway I think enforcing the "tell it all brother" at the end of the tournament should be put in the "no can do" box...who decides what is enough...how is much is too little and too much...I have never seen anything like this on the basspros or crappiepros tournaments on tv...anyway I personally am thinking about it...
