My neighbor goes a lot and some guys I work with "claim" to catch 3lb fish. Both claim they never loose sight of the ramp. They say they launch and start fishing several feet from the bank 6-8 foot of water. If looking down the ramp go left. And start fishing.
These guys tell me the same thing and they don't know each other, must be something to it. I have never been there but can see it in my head because they tell me the same thing every year.

Thanks for the info, Actually, I hadn't even thought about crappie fishing it. I was thinking of the big red ear. I read an article Outdoors: Bass, Bream Active At Atkins - The Times Record: Sports stating the Red ear was looking good. I had just about changed my mind and was going to head back to Wister lake, but your post makes me think ...Hmmmm!
