Thinking about wading Grenada this weekend.
I used to wade the small streams for bass. It was a lot of fun on a summer day. :)
aj
to many gators in eagle lake now !!!!!!!
Seen a dude at nimrod in march wadding crappie fishing. I see no benefit. My grandpa used to have a inner tube (looked like a big baby walker with pockets all over it" lol. Would wear flippers and scoot around the water. Id just assume be in my boat.
The benefit is when they are in the buck brush and it extends out in the water a couple 100' you can wade back in the buck brush where no boat can go. Also you can fish slow when the wind is blowing.
I used to wade fish a lot of creeks around here. In fact I can remember wade fishing Devil's Fork on Greers Ferry with my dad and a great uncle before the lake was there. On one trip we drove as far as we could, walked on in to the creek, and hit it by a big flat rock. We all threw out, and one of us caught a brownie bass, one of us caught a Kentucky and one of us caught a walleye or jack salmon as we called them back then. It is still a really great way to fish, particularly if you can trap a big mess of creek slicks to fish with. They are the absolute bomb.
