    Default Lee Creek Reservoir

Went out Friday to Lee Creek Reservoir in Van Buren to try to catch a few slabs. Early on I worked the shallow grass to try to find them since I thought they'd be spawning with no luck. Around noon I moved to structure in around 10-12 fow and started to produce. Every fish caught was a keeper. Mostly large females that were still full of eggs. Water temp was 67 degrees, figured they would've spawned by now. Total of 9 slabs, 2 cats, and 1 bass.

Nice Fish, HogWild! Thumbs Up Surprised they hadn't already spawned with water temps that high. And that seems pretty deep for those females this time of year with those water temps. Thanks for the post and the pics! Thumbs Up

I do some around Clear Creek. I have also fished the tail waters of Lee Creek a bit. I haven't had oppertunity to fish it any this year though.

Strip, I fished all up Clear Creek last week and didn't catch a fish. Where do you go in that area that produces? Still really new to the river.

Let me start by saying that until 2 months ago I was a die hard bass fisherman. With that said, I still went crappie fishing a few times a year with sporadic success. I eaither slay em or don't catch a darned fish.

I have had success in the old pond that sits behind the park, and also up the creek in the area where little frog runs in. If you want to head out to the river, I have done well in court house as well as buzzards roost. If you need more information on these spots pm me your number and I will call ya.
