    Default Erling public access?

I talked my dad into going fishing this weekend since the weather will be nice. It has to be warm out or he won't go. We haven't gone fishing together in a long time.
The problem is, I don't really know where to take him. Erling is the closest place to where my parents live, but I haven't been there in about 25 years. And only a few times before that. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to go, that's open to the public, to fish from the banks? Has to be easy walking, he doesn't get around that well anymore, he's pushing 80. I see where theres some bridges that look like you could maybe fish from, but i dunno. There any piers over there open to public fishing?

    Thanks for any help.

I heard that Columbia was pretty low, that's why I thought Erling would be better. I thought there might be somewhere where I could get off the road and park that is pretty close to the water. My sister lives pretty close to Columbia though, I'll see if her, or her man will go by and check out the lake level for me. Or I can go by on my way through magnolia today.
    Thanks for the help.
