Only place I know about is up the Little Maumelle River. That runs in on the southside just above I-430.

We've been camping at Maumelle Park in my camper a lot since my grandson is getting older. Sure would like to find some papermouths on the river. But I don't hear many river reports. Anyone ever do any good on the river, especially near Maumelle?
Thanks!

the bayou Nimrod speaks of has a landing at the base of the southside of the 430 bridge. You can easily go almost to Pinnacle mountain. The crappie fishing can be pretty good, but need water flowing out of the bayou into the river. You also can go up Big Maumelle Creek from the River Valley Marina up to the outlet from Maumelle Lake. There is a pretty good area of timber to fish.
Crappie fishing the river is no different than anything else, find the bait fish and cover you will find the crappie, most places on the river are over looked, look in the slack water for structure, and always remember just because they don't bite does not mean they are not there...if there is structure and bait... They are there.

Palarm creek, but the crappie fishing has been slow in the creek. Little Maumelle river has some nice crappie. Minnows and white stingers with pink 1/32oz head vertical over brush works well for me lately 4-8ft.
