Week of fishing Lake Erling

Jury duty ended early mon. morning was able to get in 5 days of fishing wind was tough but managable in protected areas mon tue and wedn fished shallow on the banks managed 20 + every day fishing jigs tipped with minnow about 12 inches deep with cork color of jig did not matter thur. and fri fished in 7 and 8 ft of water using white siver chartruse meatgetter jigs catches were about the same in numbers ratio of females to males may have been higher in the deeper water I just got tired of fighting the brush on the bank but the fish were still there did not fish this weekend needed the rest plus there are lots of boats on the water.

I wanted to go to Erling last weekend while I was visiting my folks down that way. They live just south of Magnolia. But, Dad wanted to get his garden started instead. It's all good, I try to help them as much as possible while I'm there. Sounds like you had a good week. Why would anyone want to mess with this weather after a week like that.
Oh wait, It's probably still 80 degree highs down south. Been just plain nasty further north this weekend.
