Default Camping at Piney Bay, fishing Lake Dardanelle

Hey guys, My family and I are going camping at Piney Bay this weekend. I've only fished Lake Dardanelle once and we did really good on crappie and brim. We are talking about hitting early morning and fishing for crappie till noon and then that evening setting out some noodles and try out the catfish there. Any suggestions as to where we should try this time around? We will be launching from the Piney Bay area. Thanks!

Caught a few slabs today. Had a good 5lb cat too. I'll post some pics when we get back. Plan to hit the lake again tomorrow.

Just that one. My bro caught another today buy it wasn't big enough to keep. Plus is was completely covered in mud. We caught 6 this morning and kept 4 and now we are heading out again. We found a nice drop off about 20 ft deep that us hilding a few.

Got a few pics from over the weekend. Had a really good time with the family and did O.K. with the fishing. We ended up catching 19 total all weekend and kept 15 of them. Two were over a pound and the rest we still good sized. Had a good mess of fillets. The first two we caught were around 2-3ft deep in 5-6ft of water. The rest we caught 10ft and 25ft deep 2-3ft over brush. Caught everything on minnows and pink/white 1/32nd oz jig heads with hot pink/white 1.5" crappie stingers tipped with minnows. Planning to hit Lake Brewer this weekend to get ready for a crappie tourney there on April 9th. Anyways, really hope the spawn starts soon. I'm ready to start hitting my limit.

    First day

The slab my brother caught the first day. Right at a pound.

Second day, caught this slab trolling over brush. Weighed over a pound and was around 15in long.
