Crappie starting to stage

Had a good day even with the wind. Those males were stage'n in deep water today. Caught lots of fish to cull out 20 that weighed a total of 22 lbs. My buddy Tommy and I are going to hit it tomarrow and hopefully he can catch a few. Would have posted pictures but Kena had the camera. They were hitting in 8 to 12 water on cover close to shallows. My best bites were on purple/chartruse jigs.

Thanks it should just get better as it warms up. How is it over at Degray? Being farther south are they stage'n?

I keep hearing reports that people have really been catching them in the Arlie Moore area for the last week or so. However, dad and I couldn't find them last weekend, course we don't get to go as often as we like. Sure does make it a lot tougher to find them, when you don't go all the time. We're probably going to try it again this weekend. I'll post if we do any good.

We did good for the first part of the morning but then the wind killed us. Brought in 30 Crappie .
