I saw those boo piles a couple of Saturdays ago. My wife and I were actually looking for eagles. But, we didn't see any. I thought you might have been the one who placed the boo on the banks.

I spent some time hiking around Degray Lake the last couple of weekends checking out the low water. Trying to get a little exercise while I looked for some good spots to place some bamboo structure. I took my camera along and snapped a few pictures.
Somebody's been busy building Jerry and Darryl style "mega-mats". I happened across several.
I watched several people marking the locations of all the 'boo, while I was traipsing around.

Can't believe you got that close to a mature bald eagle. I've seen lots of them while fishing but it's hard to get close to them. Looks like you were almost under this one! Good job! And thanks for posting.![]()
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
Great photos, been see'n lots of Eagles around Nimrod lake too.

I was hiking back to my truck from the lake and had that eagle swoop in and land in a tree not more than 30 yrds away. Couldn't believe that it got so close to me, cause I was talking on my phone. After it posed for a few pictures it took off with a buddy that flew over me.

I need to put out some bamboo, but all those piles aren't mine. I think I know who did, but I'm not positive. Whoever it was, they put in a lot of work and did a good job with them. Although everybody and their dog have now marked them, since the water has stayed down for so long.

hey agrihawg in the 4th pic where is that located? Me and a buddy were going to hit degray soon and if its that low we may need to wait a little while untill the water comes back up..
That's Degray Lake, the Brushy Creek area. The lake is over 10 feet low right now. Although, there were a lot of boats on the water weekend before last.

Does anyone know when Degray will start filling up? It's so low that half of our dock in on dry ground. Luckily our slip is over a channel and we can get out and fish.
I thought about trying to go to Degray this next week during this warm spell. Would like to see some eagles as well as catch fish. The low water in Degray and in Ouachita will require boaters to be extra careful. The bass tourneys are starting up as well.
