    Default Hummingbird or Lowrance

I am considering the Hummingbird 898c SI Combo or the Lowrance HDS7 w/ Structure Scan and Insight USA. What do you guys think? Pros? Cons? Help!

Seen them both in action, Lowrance has cleaner clearer and crisper imaging, However the humminbird is alot easier to use. Lowrance has alot of pages to thumb thru to get to where you want to be and bird takes a more direct approach.:D:D Hope this helps, Its one of those Six one way Half a dozen the other scenarios.
You can't beat the taste of them ole fried SLABS N TATERS!!

X3 on the 798C SI/DI unit! The lowrance has also had some problems with the water seals.

I have Lowrance on one boat and HB on the other---I like the image quality and the ability to track at low speeds on the Lowrance, but the HB is more user friendly and possibly more bullet-proof. If HB would address the tracking problem at low speeds, I'd give them the edge.
