WE whacked em, however it was not easy, I had to pull out the ole trick ay to get em, a little trick I discovered several years ago to catch post front crappie. They were very hook shy in the early part of the day. If you caught a fish you had better stay there, cause they are in that area and they ain't leaving, they just bite every once In A while.

I so sure it was as much about color as it was just getting on a school of fish, I caught mine on five different color selection, but the common factor with all five jigs was they all had chartruese in them.

chartruese has been the color, with silver specs or not,i agree with slabntators.

today was terrrible out of 6 boats one guy finally caught 3 nice ones at dark.they definately had the shut mouth today.two regulars one that had a limit yesterday i mean a double limit with a buddy ,did not catch a crappie today.caught bunch of yellow bass.they should be back on tomorrow and improve on through the weekend.weather looks great and steady.

I gonna make a trip there this weekend. I haven't fished the Gold Creek area since before the cove was built. I know its a hot spot, but not sure if I wanna deal with all of the boats either.
