    Default Wanted

Wanted more winter weather, it was absolutly beautiful out fishing yesterday in the winter wonderland. There is a certain sound deadning factor that snow gives, I was up at Gold creek and the snow had the world on pause, you did not hear the cars and trucks of everyday hustle, at best you would hear the occasional dog bark in the distance, and kids playing in the snow, it was a very relaxing and peaceful day of fishing. There is something to be said for just getting out and enjoying mother natures beuaty and it being quiet.

I was in the pool last week and the coots were driving a retreiver nuts. I am surprised his barker did not wear out.

There was alot of coots in the pool yesterday, and a black lab walking around the edge of the water looking at them, If it was the same lab, his barker may be wore out cause he never let out even a peep of a bark. It was the most peaceful and quiet day of fishing I have had in along time. Like I said there was only one other boat out fishing, I could only imagine what people thought when they saw that 18 foot bass boat being pulled to the lake on the snow covered roads.

Sounds like you had a great day on the water, but did you catch any fish?

We managed to get enough for super tonight. We had 15 respectable crappie. they were not just jumping in the boat, but there was enough action to keep me from leaving and going home.
