    Default Nimrod Crappie

Finally got to try it today. I caught a limit ,but not all were good fish. Did have some nice fat ones. Seems like the wind, hunting, raking leaves, or something been in the way. Today looked good and with the forecast of cold and rain soon , I went. The fish were shallow around visable cover biting Umbrella tubes.

    Default Good Job!

Nice catch! I hope to get out sometime this week and try it out. I know one thing, I'm going to pay closer attention to the winds, that for sure... Based on how I did earlier in the week, I'm a believer now... :-)

Not netting in last month. I might start back if it warms up . Caught 3 this summer on a jig pole and a jig. Did a little netting earlier and caught several , no big uns yet this season. How is your fishing yard dog? Nimrod Lake has not filled up and who knows when it will.

    Nimrod,

Good fishing when there's been current. Real good. But they've only been releasing water 1 or 2 times a week for the past 2 months. Water temps are fixing to get right for deep water holes, so the current ain't gonna be too big of a deal till early spring.
