Default Caney Creek Bite Slowing but...11-7-10

Hey Guys fished Caney Creek two days ago, the bite was slowing but if you work for em some good slabs can still be caught doing what i have posted earlier. Also saw some good catch's on minnows. It will be awhile before I post agian on Caney cos the cool fall winds blowing through the deer woods is calling my name. Time to put the crappie rods down for awhile.

Size: 77.0 KBSoswine, looks like a nuben in the last pict. I did that this year, mine had a 1" hard bone on one side. Now they have to be tagged as a BA. Killed a nice seven point with my muzzel loader, now I am bucked out with regular gun just about to open. Can"t kil nothing but does now. I miss the old system of anterless deer taging.

Actually that was a 2.5 doe. She was by herself but had obviously nursed this year since she wasnt dry. Hadnt noticed it but that pic does sorta look like a nubbin though. She was bigger than that pic indicates too. Here is a pic of her hung up.

I haven't had the urge to hunt in over 15 years. You guys are stirring me up though. My grand son will be old enough in a couple of years. I wonder if I can hock some Bandits to raise some capital??
