This URL is the web site I used to order the bags. http://www.911sandbags.com---The company is Jacobs-- If it does not work than holler at me. You must open an account and pay by credit card. I purchased 100 bags at a cost of about 35 bucks I think. The bags will hold about 100 lbs. of rock--sand or gravel and they come with a tie on them sewed on at the top.
The bags are made of a poly type material and are strong.
A friend and I put out quite a few bags. It is easier to use brush found on the lake as long as you have a small saw that folds up--they are great for cutting probably stuff under 3-4 inches and you can cut bigger if you have the time.
As I mentioned before I visited the Corps Of Engineers and talked to the manager and the rangers. They were as interested in crappie habitat as we were. Until I moved we were going to form a group on the lake to help out and share the rewards.
The Corps usually want to record the way points using a Ranger and GPS, plus they post the positions on the lake map in the office
