Lake Ouchita, Fall colors

Are the fall tree colors peaking around the lake yet or have the peak colors passed there. Will be traveling to visit and enjoy fall colors and just wondering where the peak colors are now, maybe futher north or south.

not real pretty here in the hills of northeast ark. trees are turning from green to brown from the dry weather we've had. just a few trees are pretty. a few hickorys and maples and gum trees have some color but to make a trip through this area to see good color would be a wasted trip. it may be different in different parts of the state.

I was at Lake Ouchita this weekend and it is like olduckhunter said, it has been so dry the leaves are just turing from green to brown. Not much color this year.
