Default Crappiepro approved/NEW BAIT FROM Gene Larew/Bobby Garland baits/Another Limit.

Hey Guys with bad winds I decided to fish Caney Creek today 10-25-10 from 2-Dark and caught 33 fish and kept a limit of respectable keepers on This new bait which was given to me at the Classic held on Truman Res. The bait is called a Scent wiggl'r 2.5 inches long, with scent cooked in. They were eating this bait up this afternoon on a verticle jig on Caney creek. Rest assure I will be buying some more of these when I can get my hands on em. They come in Glo, think this one in pic is called the Mo Glo Ghost. If any of you all know where these are on sell locally please let me know, and pick up a few packs for yourself. They Work

Is the hook bent on purpose? I did better saturday morning on a slightly lager bait too. There were a lot of shad in there that looked like they were 2.5-3" long and that was part of the reason I switched to a shiner pattern.

The jig I was using was like the bottom one in this pic except it was a minnow head and the head was painted with a gold glitter paint.

Another great day on the lake, Russ! Thanks for the post and the pics. I'll let you know if I locate some of those BG's as I'm always looking.

MN As far as I know it's a new bait that should hit the market soon, You may be able to order from Bobby Garland as I dont think they have them distrubuted yet but they r on the web site. Bryan those r some nice looking jigs. Did U tie them? If so set me a couple aside in that color. Yes I always bend the hook outward slightly and feel it helps my catch ratio. They are starting to catch them up and down from the creek bridge at Caney now.

Yep some of my tinkerin. I'll put you a little sample pack together. They will all have sickle hooks though as I dont have any round bends to make up. After fishin the sickle's all year, I doubt I ever go back to a round bend. Are 1/24's ok for you, that's what I have the most of right now already poured.
