I've had a few request on what im catching em on in Lake Conway/Caney Creek. The damage has been done mainly on this Mid-South Tube. It's a great bait to dip in the and around shallow water pads, stump, and trees. I also tip with a silver metel flake nibble. The fish on the table were caught by me and my daughter two days ago. Two times we pulled up to a stump pitched these jigs in and had doubles on. And her's was bigger each time which made it even better. LOL After the first double and me trying to net mine and her crappie at the same time. My daughter Said "That was awsome Dad!!!" Man A Dad loves to hear that and a smile came to my face.Give this cream filled chart overlayed tube with Red n Blue metal flake a try next time you visit Lake Conway or in any shallow water situation u may find yourself in and ill bet you will develope a confidence in it like I have. Oh ya For All you Chicken Fans, Here is a recent Pic Of my Lucky pet Chicken. LOL Looks like she is trying to roost on my WarEagle's Minn Kota Trolling Motor agian in the Back Ground.:D

What is the number on the package for that tube ? Nice mess of fish their CP, nothing like having one of your kids look at you with a big smile on their face after pulling in a slab. Its priceless, and something they will never forget, and you wont either. I wish all the kids could experience that with their dads. Is this jig color good in stained water also? The midsouth tubes is what i use all the time. I caught 21 yesturday on the clear with black filled center and silver metal flake. I see you cut some of the tails off,i will have to try that.
The name of this tube is "Chartreuse and Rainbow Core". Ordering number is 800RC and comes in 20 pack counts.
Backwoods- This tube can be productive in stained waters to a certain degree but it will depend on light penetration at the depth fish are holding at. Just remember, when finding color, there are two variables, Shadow and Silohuette. And most of the time, bright days=bright colors, dark days=dark colors. This tube would not be as effective in heavily stained water at deeper depths.
There has been a lot of studies performed by the Midsouth team in determining correct tube colors in different conditions. Doyle Hudson, owner and CEO of Midsouth is probably the most knowledgeable person I have ever talked to when it comes to this subject, and it proven when he fishes, the man will wear you out!
Trimming the "tail" produces a smaller profile of the tube in the water and is very effective. It also allows more water to pass through the tail section allowing more movement of the tenticles that remain.
One more point, a lot of people don't realize that Midsouth jigs often times are built to produce different "glows" in the water. So what seems to be your ordinary tube, may actually glow a blue or pearl depending on the color.
After all of this pointers, you may just have to go steal that lucky chicken from CP!!!!!! LOL........
Hope this helps.........

Midsouth,
Thanks for the info on the jigs, will be a lot of help in the future. Went to the local baitshop here in bald knob and picked up some the jigs plus a few more. You know standing their looking at all the jigs makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. Even looked for a chicken, no luck. C.P. how much would it take to buy that chicken. LOL . Good job on the fish they look like they are starting to thickn up.
Gonna have to see if I can tie something close to that.
Great lookin bunch of fish Russ!!
Back Wood's I asked my wife How Much she would take for the Chicken, She just rolled her eyes and said You Aint going to Sell MY CHICKEN!!!. It ust to Run when we come out on the porch but now she has it eating out of her hand LOL. I'll Haft to try that color u mentioned, what was the water color like where ur fishing it? and I feel like a Kid in a candy store to when standing in front of a wall of Tubes LOL.
Dennis thax for the great insight on Mid-South tubes, I was wondering if Midsouth has a Tube Color/Water Color or conditions chart for their tubes, I would love to get ahold of that if they have one..
