    Default Peckerwood Saturday

Fished at Peckerwood Saturday morning for the first time. Air temp was 43 degrees and I'm guessing water temp was 60 or so. Very low water and lots of stumps. Only caught 5 fish but all were 12 inches plus. I was a little disappointed as I have heard good reports from there lately but I didn't talk to anybody who really wore them out. I am sure somebody did and maybe they can educate me on fishing there.

Overall it was a nice day to be out and I enjoyed the trip very much.

5 sounds good to me. I fished all day Saturday and caught 1- 6" crappie. That was it!

Yeah, sounds like a good day. A friend and I went a week ago today and caught one crappie. However, when we were leaving, we talked to several folks who had gone to the right out of Herman's and they had all done pretty good. We went straight out and fished to the left. There were thousaznds of White Pelicans on the end of the lake we were on. We figured the pelicans had chased all the fish to the other end of the lake. That's our story and we're sticking to it. :D
