It has crappie, bass, and saugeye. It has a marina. Nice little lake---I think it's about 700 A.

My wife and I rented a house on Crown Lake in Horshoe Bend. We plan to be there the 2nd week of December relaxing. But, I was going to bring my boat and try some crappie fishin. Just curious if its worth bringing the boat. If so any suggestions for that time of year. Im not much the troller just like to dip jigs around any structure. Wow does it even have any type of structure.
The fish you release may be a kids fish of a lifetime!

I havent fished it but know someone who might have. Drop darryl Morris of Family Fishing trip a email or PM. He is from NE arkansas and has probably fished it once or twice and may have some hints as to where to begin.

I think Crappie Cowboy moved up there about this time last year, you might give him a shout.

I have two brothers that live there, and I have fished the lake several times there are brush piles everywhere, mostly in front of the docks, some in back of the cove by the condos,, the marina guy will for a fee let you fish the slips, lots of crappie there, there are a few small cuts in the lake but not to many, catch a few up by the dam in deep water, mostly only cover is docks, there is a dock for every house on the lake, and some of them are picky but 99% of them are great, good people in horseshoe bend, brother use to own the grocery store there, I would go by get a bag of roasted p-nuts go to fishermans park sit on the dock fish and enjoy, hope you catch a bunch.
