we went fishing up on the white river all last week. when I was up there I took my grandpa old fly rod and reel with me. The place we were staying at the owner was a big time fly fisherman. he told me some tips and let me use his newer rod and reel. nite and day differents. I think I catch the fly fishing bug. all I could think was how much fun crappie would be on one of these rods.I live in greenbrier and I was wonder if there where any fly fishing shop close to my house. Also I was hoping for some info as to what I should be looking for and what question I should be asking? Am looking for both a panfish and trout rod and reel setup. thank you for your time and help.

THE Nimrod Kid
Get a 9 ft, 5 wgt rod and reel and spool it with 6 wgt weight fwd floating line. Get a half way decent rod, spend 100+ and a reel for about 50. U will be able to handle bass & panfish with this setup. My largest crappie on the fly, 3lbs10ozs, 19 inches. Once u learn, u will be catching alot more fish.
thank you flyrod man! I went to blue ribbon fly shop in mtn home the other day. He had a tfo rod and reels I liked. Do you know anything about that brand? Also he was showing me 4wt rods is a 5 wt better? Does a longer rod cast better then a shorter rod? This is the rod and reel kit he was showing me Temple Fork Outfitters NXT Fly Fishing Rod and Reel Outfits
