You have a point there...lol. And yes...it was a no name school...but if we can do well defensively...we can outscore everyone...lol...we just have to keep them from scoring! :D
when's petunia leaving?
We better figure out how to run block better than we did last night or we are going to fall short of expectations. Defense is looking better though and that is encouraging.
I agree...I think the defense looked great compared to past few years. Running to the ball and forming up like they are supposed to instead of arm tackling and getting bounced off of.
I don't know what the deal was...beside humidity...this is the south...should be used to it. Seems like they were reluctant to let Ryan loose. Seems like they held him back. Didn't see the deep routes I'm used to seeing. We weren't nearly as explosive...maybe they wanted to use last night to practice the short game. Can't always be explosive against some of the teams we will be playing. Have to chew away at it. Although we could've run it up on them easily I think. It was man coverage nearly all night and our recievers could have done cart wheels around them. I think there was something else going on there...not just a bad night. They let them loose a little bit towards the end of the third. Still lovin my hogs...wether they win or lose. :D
reminds me of a song back in the 60's. dreaming.
The past two teams were determined not to let Arkansas throw the deep ball. So Mallet was forced to throw short.
Our line doesn't seem to be aggressive enough run blocking. That or Petrino and the coaches don't have good blocking schemes.
ULM's not as big of a cupcake as everyone thinks.
2 no name teams and you are jumping up and down with joy. wait till you play a good team or teams. they'll come unraveled.
