    Default Nimrod or Harris Brake???

O.K., I need help. I've been fishing around at several lakes the past few weeks. (without any success) And now my father-in law has decided to take off work tomorrow and go with me. I need to get on some fish, bad. I was thinking of trying Nimrod or Harris Brake. Any suggestions on where to go and where to catch some fish on these lakes?? Please help me fellow anglers.

Don't know if I caught you in time but at Nimrod put in out on the end of Carden Point and troll jig/minnow combinations from the ramp South to the main river channel and back.
Heard of some guys i know that did real well last weekend there.

    Good Luck!

Why minnows? This dingy water jigs alone catch fine for us? Bait stores are not staying open much anyway around here.

Thanks for the input guys. We ended up going to Harris Brake. Got there around 5:30, tried various depths with no luck. Finally around 7:30 we got into a little school of small (6-8") bass and had a good time catching and releasing. Then we got into a small school of White Bass of the same size. But no Crappie all day. But at least we caught a few to have some fun with. I just need to learn how to fish these lake here in Central Arkansas... Very confusing, my old tricks just don't work. I'll be reading everyones posts and suggestions as much as possible. Trying to learn these lakes and some new techniqes. I'm thinking of heading to Lake Greeson and hooking up with A & R guide service to learn how to troll for crappie. Never done it, need to learn so I can feed the wife and kiddo's their favorite fish....

If you're thinking about getting a guide on Greeson check out Jerry Blake or Daryll Morris. Both are Greeson guides that post on here regularly.
