you're a week late I am afraid. River should be on a rise by then. No, wait. Looks like it might not rise after all. Supposed to already level off. Know a couple of groups that caught 200 or so last weekend.

Bait shop at ramp.no place to eat. Motel on Helena about 25 miles away. Cabins on lake are the deal if you take groceries. Full kitchen

Best fried chicken in Elaine is at the gas station. Oh, wait it's the only fried chicken in Elaine. It is good though. Don't let the look scare you. They're nice people with some good food.

They sell more fried chicken necks than anywhere.Don't laugh. Get a double order
You will wish you had 3. I was there one day and someone from Helena ordered 40 orders of necks. I was hesitant to mention the place.

2 places I won't drive by without getting something to eat at least once per trip. Krystal burgers in the greater Memphis area and the gas station in Elaine.

Billy, I'm headed just south of there Saturday. About 20 mins further to stempson lake. PM me if you're interested in shareing some info. Got a little work to do but plan on fishin some. If we're catchin some you're welcome to come join in.
