    Default Fishing scales

I'm interested in buying a good fishing scale to weigh fish. I've had two NorMarks, which I don't believe they make anymore, and one Rapala, which don't work anymore. The NorMarks were good scales but I can't find them , and the Rapala was not so hot. Quit working in less than a year.

Anybody got any ideas about which is the best. Only has to go to 15 pounds, not 50. What have you had good luck with? Thanks in advance for your input.

I use postal scales from an office store. Keep them in a gal size baggie and a plastic box. Very accurate. Something like this http://www.officemax.com/catalog/sku.jsp?productId=ARS20125&history=hthahjyj|prodPa ge~15^freeText~scale^paramValue~true^refine~1^regi on~1^param~return_skus^return_skus~Y
You can get them to go higher in lbs too.

I got a set of hanging scales off ebay that was a lot cheaper than what I could have gotten from our fish equipment supplier. They cost $9.99 and the shipping was $9 something..all in all was around $20. They go to 110#/50kg..1/2# (8oz) incriments.

I don't carry any scales. I can tell how much they weigh simply by lipping them and extending my arm all the way out. Odd though. Every fish I weigh with this method weighs over 2 lbs. Lot's of them weigh close to 3.
