    Default Crank Pullin

Everybody else has a crank topic so I am starting one. In my very limited knowledge of pulling crankbaits I have noticed that I can catch them in dirty water but the clear water or main lake in Greers Ferry skunks me. Is it that crank pulling only works in dirty water? Or am I pulling the wrong colors. I always start with something shad colored and something with chartreuse in it. Have also tried white with no success. When bass fishing we don't throw cranks much in the clear water, maybe they put off to much wobble for green carp or crappie?

I would like to know the answer to this also. I was looking at pulling in a clear lake but haven't done it yet. I would have guessed that the lighter colors would have been better in the clear water.

One of your problems may be your line.. Clear water and high visibility line don't mix well.. Try a short flourocarbon leader.. It's tough and quite invisible.. Good luck on the color

On Greery Ferry try the Mistake, Awesome Pink, Tennessee Shad, Black, Pearl White.

I am just about to be convinced it depends on the lake. I consider DeGray, Ouachita, Maumelle, and Greer's all to be "clear" water.
I have differnt preferences for each.

    BTW
    Sort of on this subject....
