    Default Crappie fishing Lake Ouachita

My inlaws have a lakehouse on the north side that we use in the summer to boat and ski but I have never crappie fished it.

Anybody fish there in the spring, summer, or fall have any hints they could pass on?

    Some good areas to try?

bait? I've heard Kalins Tennesse shad are hot.

depth or structure to look for?

Heard from Lisa's baitshop in Benton some folks night fish it under lanterns?

    any help would be appreciated?

Try to find some structure and cast to them with those Tennessee Shad grubs with 1/8 oz white head.

We discussed the gtrass being gone a few weeks ago. It is a brand new lake to me now. I used to do good this time of year working the outside of the grass beds in 18' to 20' of water. I have started trolling bandits and have not found where to do it on this lake yet. I use this lake more to play with the kids on the toon than anything. If I was going to get serious, I would start dropping some of those Teenesse Shad grubs in the brush I have found. I have done good with a blackglitter (MidSouth) tube jig on a pink head before too.
