    Default Midsouth This Bud's For You/Lake Conway/7-13-10

Midsouth Im sorry about your trolling motor brother. Hope you come out with me agian and try em agian. Ill show you a move called the Boat Scoot Boggie where you'll never haft to start your motor agian to get off a stump Anyway I fished untill about noon ended up with nine and two nice fish and then it rained and rained and rained, so i gave it up.

Today I was thinking the rain would stop and I was'nt about to let them crappie and lake Conway get away with treating a buddy of mine like that. So I went after em. Started fishing about 8AM after watching the news Channel 4 who said ohh ya the rain is about over. Boy was he wrong. It was like Rain, then stop, rain and then stop, Then RAIN RAIN RAIN. So after catching these in the picture i gave it up at 15, stopped at about Noon and after a good soaking LOL. Let me tell ya four of em were some fat footballs. I made em Pay for ya brother and this Bud's for you. Going back out there and make em pay somemore.

Finished my limit with these 5 this afternoon and caught most of them today on this. Let me tell ya this was one bad little bug on Conway today. The fish were running good sized and they were flat eating this thing with some hard THUMPS. Man I love crappie fishing.

Are you having to do a bunch of culling or is the size running pretty consistent?

I had been catching allot of 7-8-9 inchers, like a couple of those to get a keeper with a tube bait. Then i switched to the lil critter in the pic and i caught less dinks and more slabs. I just had a feeling the fish wanted something a lil different, I made a switch and it paid off big time.

It's not a Yum Beavertail, but it looks like one except for the "legs" hanging out. Nice looking bait.
