Several great lakes/oxbows in that area. I hope I can help:
DesArc Bayou: Located just north of DesArc about two miles with a launching ramp right beside the bridge as you cross it. This time of year, the fish are holding tight to the ironwoods "in the shade" in 9-11 FOW. Pitching jigs or bait of your choice in a pendelum motion is working well on both large crappie and bass. Flatbottom boats will be fine here.
Sandhills Bar Ditches: Located east of DesArc on Sandhills Road about 5 miles. These ditches are extremely close to the White River and are fed by it often. Very shallow this time of year but still offer some great fishing!
Lake DesArc: Just north of the bayou about two miles or so. It is an AG&FC lake that offers public launches at no cost. Be careful on windy days, it's wide open. Concentrate on the "channel" running through the middle of lake and the structure holding close by. I have seen some hawgs come out of this lake.
I hope this helps, but if you have more questions, call me at 501-231-3374.
