Black/chartreuse with a white crappie nibble will fill the cooler on a regular basis
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Yellow and chart, ang you can't go wrong. But its really about confidence, what you faith in. You can ask everyones opinion, but it boils down to the colors you have confidence in.

Don't forget the "thunders".....red, green and blue thunders....Got to have all of those too!!! Also Must have a good supply of Vegas, Char and red glitter, Key Lime Pie, Hot Lips, Bleeding Shad, Bayou Bugger, Gumdrop, Natural Cricket, Cajun Cricket, Kiwi, Baby Bass, Baby Crawdad, and Bluegrass. Put 'em on a 1/16 hot pink jighead with a #2 Sickle hook then tip them all with a white nibble (white goes with anything!).... And you're in business!
BTW, the old faithful Black and Chartreuse wasn't working where I was fishing this weekend. I gave it a good try (along with about 25 other colors) and never could get a bite with it or most of the other colors I tried. They were real picky and it was fluorescent Orange or Pink this weekend at Lake Pine Bluff. David (Blue Thunder), myself and a friend caught 112 really nice ones spider rigging this weekend in two boats. The fish were very scattered and seemed to be pre-staging....never could find a real good concentration of them. They were bursting full of eggs. We caught them all fishing 3 ft deep in 8-9 FOW.

I am wondering what size jig head is the best. Is 1/16 or 1/8 ounce better for crappie fishing with jigs. I want to fish jigs
this year to be more versatile so help me out.
