Crappie running on the small side and the COE is lowering the lake, but limits being caught on Nimrod. With the lake being drawn 5' below normal ,unsure about being able to launch a boat soon.:confused:
Mr Beagle Man, that is a pompano. All of those were caught in the British Petroleum crude oil storage, reservoir. The pompano are some really fine eating, and I'm pretty picky about the fish I like. They will flat put a bow in my Arkansas bream and crappie equipment:D
The bigger fish is a black drum. They ain't nothing to write home about in the eating department. We caught others, even larger, but turned them back.

Those look like bone fish. Did not know that people ate them. I figured their name would rule that out.
