    Default Beaver lake

Fishing has been good. We dodged the rain and managed to pick up three limits (could only keep two though). All the fish we caught came on either black/chartreuse, chartreuse or yellow/green curl tails just off the bottom in 18 to 25 feet of water. We worked them super slow from the bottom up. Very light bite.

Nice catch, I'm heading out saturday and I'm going to try to get on some fish around war eagle. Then I'm going to start night fishing monday night. I can't believe you catching crappie that deep this early. I checked some of my logs and I'm generally catching fish in 10-14 foot water.

They have moved off of the bottom and are now suspending 10 to 15 feet down over 20' plus of water. I believe the lake turn has started. We may begin to taste and smell the lake soon in our water!

We got out there on the water Saturday morning about 7, Our plan was to pick up some minnows at the Nob Hill store. The store was closed when we we came thru. No problem, I'll just get some at the War Eagle Marina. They didn't show up to open the Marina till almost 9. We fished the docks around the Marina till they opened. I was throwing a black and chart 1/16oz jig and caught 7 only one was a keeper. I catching fish 8-12 feet deep, in 16 - 40 foot deep water. The bite was kinda slow, the worst part of the trip was our graph crapped out making it hard to find structure and fish.

Thanks for the reports JT I'm going to plan a trip with you one of these days.
