How is the water at Horseshoe? (as of the beginning of May) Planning to go down tomorrow morning.

Crappie are snobby..... Why can't they be easy to catch...Like bass?
I would think it would be muddy after all the rain over the weekend. Havent heard anything from over there in a week or so though.
Yeah, I was wondering how high it might be and if it was still fishable. We were thinking of going to Reelfoot but I heard it was all kinds of messed up, plus we didn't do to good there last time. Never been to Horseshoe and was wanting to check it out.
Called there today and was told chocalate milk all over. Guess I'm gonna try the foot tomorrow
Well we decided we are gonna go out to our backyard (Mallard). My cousin went to Reelfoot yesterday and said the water was horrible and he spent more time looking for decent water than he did fishing. He knows Reelfoot pretty good, so we are not gonna even drive over there. Its about a hour and a half drive for us. thought about poinsette but not sure how it reacts to all the rainfall. Mallard still looked a little clear today. Good luck at the Foot AR Hog.
Caught about 15. Was muddy but not too bad at eagles nest. All males. Also heard the females at horseshoe are still full of eggs. Gonna try to go there next week barring no monsoons.
We fished there on Monday afternoon. Lake was muddier than I have ever seen it. We only caught 6 in the docks. The females we caught only had a few eggs left in them. The color of the eggs was a real light yellow. I think they are probably done spawning. Fish were thin.

AR Hog, we usually fish Eagles Nest timber also. We might head that way Tuesday. My fishin buddy would rather fish at Reelfoot anyways.
Ringo, thanks for the response. Keep me informed if you go back before Tuesday.
How'd you do at mallard halfmoonboy?
