As of today the water level is just a little above normal pool but they are still running nearly 10K cfs. That's too much flow for me. If anyone knows the water temp I'd sure appreciate it.

According to the report posted on the AGFC site, the temps are from 58-68 depending on location and time of day. That was the March 31st report.

Crappie are continuing to improve in the oxbows around cypress trees. Nice, 2-3 pound slabs continue to congregate in the oxbows around cypress trees and are being caught on black/chartreuse jigs, shiners and Blakemore Roadrunners. The upriver, oxbow bite away from current is the best location. Channel catfish continue to bite well in the increased current of Little River. Blues and Channel catfish are biting well on cut shad, Catfish Charlie and chicken livers along Little River between Jack's Isle and Mud Lake.

water temps were hitting 60 last week on the lake when I talked to a bass fisherman, crappie bite was slow at best down on the lake, reports are better upriver in some of the old lakes, water maybe better or warmer back away from the current

Corps of Engineers and all locals say the crappie have all migrated out of Millwood down river through the dam into the Red River. I thought I'd go see if it was true and sure nuff, not a single crappie in the whole daggum lake. With all that said, ya'll need to realize the pain I went through to prove this hear-say and now you don't have to spend any time fishin down there. Just give it a couple of decades and they will be back. I'll keep testing the waters and let you know when they are big enough to keep...should be around 2025 or so.
