    Default Windy day

I spent the afternoon yesterday on Old River again. This time I KENW they would be there, even with the wind. I tried the normal spots and sure enough, there were a few in there. Got tired of fighting wind, and gave up with 2 crapps, and 1 nice redear

If the saying "Like Father, like Son" is true, then I am in for a world of hurt. I sure remember messing up my dads tackle box, and loosing ALOT of his good lures when i was young.

went again on 4/1 and the dern crappie were playing a massive April fools joke on most folks. After giving a good bite on 3/31, they developed a massive case of lock jaw on 4/1, and threw in a 25 mph wind to boot.

are they starting to bite in the shallows?? I went down there a couple of weeks ago and we were still catching them deep.
