Default Looking for info on the seark lakes

Any one have any info to pass on about Grand, Chicot, or Cane Creek?? I have been chasing bass on Lake GP and catching quite a few. Some people are catching crappie and bream on GP at the pump out station in the deeper water, but they are starting to move into the shallows for the spawn. A guy the other day caught a 2.5-3lb crappie while trying to catch bass. I have heard that the saline river around Longview is starting to turn on but I haven't been up that way to check it out. That's about all the report I have for now. Good luck guys and tight lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried Chicot for a while today no luck, went up Connerly and only caught 5, but they were good ones. Fish don't seem to be in Connerly like the past years, don't know if it was because of the drawdown or what. I just fish Cane Creek in fall and winter when they are in the beaver pond, never had much luck the rest of the time. Thanks for the info on GP, I haven't fished it since I started crappie fishing, used to bass fish there years ago. Went to the Saline last weekend at Osmond bluff landing and caught 11 crappie and 10 bluegill, the crappie were small and the bream were big. That was my first crappie trip to Saline, may try Longview next time.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Thanks for the info. I got a buddy that is starting vacation in about a week and a half and during that time i will be working days. So that means every afternoon we will be on the water somewhere. Just trying to see where some good places would be. Of course the conditions change like a pair of underwear!!!
