You guys are going to have to catch my share this spring, as I am scheduled for shoulder surgery on the 18th. My right rotorcup (throwing arm) is out of whack and so I have to have it fixed. The Dr. said it would be about 12 weeks until full recovery, so there goes the spring spawn. Just remember me when you are catching all those big slabs this spring. After the surgery on the 18th, I have to have a needle biopsy on my prostrate on the 22nd. They are doing this since I will be off my coumiden anyway. This is not shaping up to be the best crappie fishing spring I have had. Not to worry, the good LORD knows what he is doing and that is good enough for me....you fellows have a good one until spider rigging in June!!! Bucket (0) Mouth.
If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.

No problem. If you need some filets for your belly, meet me at the boat ramp one day and I'll give you some.

Good luck and have a speedy recovery.
Thanks guys for the well wishes, I love to eat crappie, but I honstly like to catch them as much or maby more than I do eating them. Put the catch and eat together and there is no way to beat it...Will be watching your post and trying to keep up with how you are doing, so dont be shy in sending out a little info how many you are catching....good luck....BM

Hello Bucket (0) Mouth, from Cotton Valley, Louisiana. I hate to hear about you needing surgery, especially during spawning season. I will be praying for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Everytime I go, which probably won't be that many, I'll remember that one of my crappie.com co-members is at home wishing that he was out there too. God bless and good luck.
The Lord is good. His mercy and love endures forever.
Hope everything goes well, would love to run into you on greers this summer or fall. Will post if I catch any.
nothing beats time on the water
Have a very good friend that just had a knee replced a couple days ago and is going to be on the shelf this spring. He is retired and loves to crappie fish. I think he was going to ask the Doc if he had ever had to prescribe anti-depressents with a knee replacement.
Hang in there BM.
Hey Bucket...I feel your pain...I had a disk removed and fused in my neck day before yesterday.....I think I can finally be back in action in about 3 weeks if I'm real careful and lucky so I hope I still get in on some of the spawn action....until then I'm fishing vicariously through the guys that are on here...best wishes and a speedy recovery to you.
