Default Yoyo'd Some a Few Days Ago

I yoyo'd quite a bit this week. Early in the week I got bass on the yoyos but towards the end of the week started getting what I was after.

I don't know if the warm weather that we had a few days this week helped or not. The crappie on Indianhead are still sporadic and not really schooled up well. They're still in the deep water, but seems like they are getting ready to move up into the coves for spawn. Now if the weather would only cooperate.

Here's a few from earlier in the week.

    Here's another one I got.

Here's some I got later in the week...

    Not a bad day out.

Added a few more to the total...

This is what it's all about.

Huummmmmm HUUUMMMMM gag gag gag spit that taste like green carp *LOL*,those are pretty fish.

I sure have been wanting to set some yoyo's,hopefully any day now, usually Feb. is the best month around here. But the weather has offset alot of things last year and this year and I think its going to offset the spawn in our area.
The crappie I caught Friday and Sat. I give them away and ask them to pay close attention to the eggs.I wanted to know what they looked like as to see how close the spawn may be.Will my luck hasn't changed, they said they were so tickled to be cleaning a fresh miss of crappie they forgot to look at the eggs.Only things they could tell me was they think they were orange lol.

I know farther south the spawn will start before the north...

MY Q'tion to you is did any of the eggs have any faint red dots or lines in them??

None of the egg sacks were orange or had thick blood vessels. The big fish we got half were male and half female. Some of the males did have blood in their tails that they might have been fanning some beds during the few warm days, but I caught them in the deep water like they might have been pushed back out into the deep.

No matter what happens, if we have a 3-4 day warm spell anytime soon I suggest you get out on the water somewhere, because these fish are just sitting around waiting to spawn.

Thanks for the sack report,I'm with you, they're waiting on something. However I still think the spawn will run late this year.Middle of next week they say temps in the high 50's for a few days.I say if if warms for a few days they'll stack close to swallow water and not move into the banks, its what I'm waiting on.

It's a residential lake in Sherwood. My in-laws live on it.
