It tough on Hamilton right now. Went out Thursday and only caught two crappie and two bass. Water temps are very cold and being held down by lots of water coming from Blakely Dam and passed on through Carpenter and Remmell. That also adds a pretty good current in the main channel. They are letting out 7500cfs. That means Ouachita is dropping. I heard the FLW boys had a tough day there yesterday. Hamilton is scheduled to be on the rise to summer pool March 4-14. Getting Hamilton back to normal pool and a week's worth of warm nights and warmer days will turn everything on. I'm expectantly watching every day.

No, I don't fish much on Ouachita. The fish on Hamilton are just tough but some of the lake condition info has changed. The have slowed the flow from Blakely down to 3900cfs and moved the start of the rise to March 6. Saturday before last the back of the major creek arms were muddy and they are starting to clear up. The water temperature is holding at a very cold 45.
