I recently moved from Marion to Paragould. Looking for any tips on the lakes and maybe a new fishing buddy. I am a firefighter/paramedic so I fish alot during the week.

welcome to NEA. Im an ol EMS guy. Used to Fly EMS with the wing in memphis. Lake poinsett in harrisburg is good at times, ashbaugh in delaplaine ( I heard from an older gentleman that the northern edge of the lake is good) as well as the oxbow lakes of the black river.

A few years ago I fished Frierson up that way and had good look. As said, Lake Poinsett is good, lots crappie in the 1st bay near the landing. Did well around the Crowley Ridge state campground lakes, can't remember the names, the 2nd lake from the campground very good crappie fishing.

Also, you won't be that far from Reelfoot in Tenn.
