    Default yoyo haters

I have only set yoyos 4 or 5 times my life so im not trying to advocate them or nothing, but it irks the hell out of me that every tome a guy posts a pic of a yoyo caught fish he dang near has to defend his tactics. Thats unethical or i hate yoyos is usually what you hear. Man ,if a guy posts a nice crappie pic and all you can say is that ,then you need to go somewhere. Preferably the off topic board theres plenty of negativity and haters there.

Haven't picked up on all the hate. Some of my best memories are winter yoyo'ing trips with my buddies. With all the fishing pressure nowdays, the ol' autofishermen can sure put a dent in the available fish pops.

Nothing wrong catching a mess to eat with whatever is legal. We have folks here that fill up every limb around and try to empty the lake of slabs. Law says 20 Crappie and only 30 yoyos. I see them abused alot here.

    Smile Thanks Barry

Thanks Barry, I felt like there for a while I was gonna be drug to the town square and stoned to death! LOL! But really, I dont take it personally. All these folks here have the right to express their opinion, and I respect that.
Kinda like the ol' sayin' "If ya caint stand th' heat, stay out th' kitchen".
Heck, as cold as it has been lately, I kinda appreciate a little "HEAT"! LOL !
Thanks again for cuttin' us yoyo users a little slack. D-Ray

Default I am guilty of both

I am guilty of both love and hate caught more than my share on yo yo's when I was a youngster in la. it was great fun to spend a weekend on the lake with several buddies and 200 yo yo's lots of work and whole lot of fish but I do believe it was bad for the fishery as I got older and took up jig fishing moved to ark. where limits were more restrictive now days I hate to see yo yo's every slab I see hanging is one I will not get a chance to feel the bump as he takes my jig (believe that is jealousy) but taking of fish legaly is perfectly acceptable if the AGFC decides that yo yo's are illegal then I will back them all the way until then enjoy fishing anyway you can that is legal I do .

I've used to run yo-yo's when I was younger. I don't have a problem with people using them. I perfer not to see fish hanging on them @ noon! My daughter enjoys running jugs on our barge @ Lake Greeson, I just try and throw them out where I hope Jerry is not going to be fishing. We have caught some nice crappie on them before. I understand some people don't like to see my jugs fishing while I'm sleeping, but my daughter enjoys it and we do it. If it is legal, do it and have fun. If you don't like someone using a legal method to catch fish, contact the AGFC and try and get the law changed. My jugs and someone elses yo-yo's aren't any worse than two guys with 20 rods sticking out around their boat. Just my thoughts. Have a great day and may GOD bless you all!

I have the same opinion of yo yo fishermen that I wished a lot of yo yo's have about gun owners. In the wrong hands they are a problem. I ain't a killer because I have guns. I don't supposed all yo yo fishermen are unethical. Just don't let me see a dried out crappie on one. It will be on the bottom by the time they get around to checking on it. I choose not to use them just because. I want to feel the thump or see a cork lay on it's side.

Good bad or ugly, it is legal. I use them, but law says I must stay within earshot of them. if GW comes by, and calls your name out, and you don't answer, guess what... TICKET. I know this becasue I saw it happen on Peckerwood last year a time or 2. GW will just get out a pole and waits on you to come back and check it.
