I had the good fortune of hooking up with Darryl this past Saturday.
We had an awesome day as far as the weather was concerned. caught probably fifteen that were in the 14 inch range. Darryl knows this lake and put me on fish and also kept us out of the wind.
I probably learned more about crappie fishing in that one day than I have in a long time. You see Darrryl will take the time to teach you his method as well as going over board to make sure you have a fun day and a productive day, so if you want to catch fish, learn to catch fish and laught and have a good time too Darryl is your man.
I also drove him nuts asking questions about my gps which did not bother him either.
Finally I hope to meet more friends on the 13th, this saturday as we sink some more boo to catch more crappie.

Thanks for the very kind words Don. You are a great fishing partner, you exaggerate the number and the size, LOL. It's good to see someone still that excited about fishing crappies. I was able to mark a bunch more shallow spots today. I'm really looking forward to the lake returning to summer pool and the water to warm up. It's going to be a great spring season.

I am guiding on both lakes Hamilton and Greeson. Right now my focus is on Hamilton and I will go to Greeson when it's best or if that's the client's request. Both lakes have their pro's and con's. One personal pro for Hamilton is that after living in a 32' camper for so long, it's nice to get back to adult-sized plumbing, lol. Another pro for Hamilton is it's right here in Hot Springs so lodging, entertainment and restaurants are aplenty. I highly recommend Country Inn Lake Resort . Not to mention I have been pleased with the fish creels as well as the variety of fish. It is very possible I will do more trolling on this lake for those striped monsters.

I'm really looking forward to prespawn and spawn time fishing here on Hamilton. I have marked a BUNCH of shallow water spots. And, with some new equipment I've got coming we're probably going to do alot of pitching and maybe even casting for crappie on that shallow stuff. I probably more than anyone is ready to see that water temperature to start it's upward climb.
