    Default Crankbait Colors

I've never fished a crankbait for crappie. I've been following the posts and have asertained from what everyone has said that the Bandit 200 and 300 are the baits to buy. Being kinda cheap I went to there site and bought some of the specials. Well I got them and ain't too excited about the colors.
I have one great advantage though, I'm great with a airbrush and repainting baits. (learned that during my mis-guided bass tournament days).
What I would like to know, if you could paint a bait to use, what would it look like. Be very specific, because I can do just about anything.
Give me some great ideas, and you might just be the one that gets to try one out. Buying them for $2.99 sure beats the $5.00 price tag. Being a old man gives me all the time I want to play. Funny part is I don't even own a boat, YET!

Shad imatations should be good. Colors are'nt as important down here as our water is usually off colored.

I know you could hand me my hat when it comes to fishing. But, I got to disagree with ya on this one. The boy and I made a trip to Nimrod last summer. We left with about 15 or so. They hit one bait!! It was pearl with a chartruse back. It was really frustrating when I had 5 other poles out with other colors. Guess how many of that color I got now!! I don't think I have ever caught another fish on that color anywhere since.

I really like the pearl with black back on Degray. What little pulling I have done on Greer's did well with crome and blue. I am going to try some "pank" stuff this year though.

My favorite 300 color is bone....it's king of a chalky or dull white with a pink throat and a skinny pink line down it's belly....try it and I think it might become one of your favorites too.....

I remember trolling with hotshots, last time I saw them was the late 60's.

I have a thousand crank baits I use bass fishing and occasionally catch a crappie. Are y'all trolling those?
